How Work Happens Here

Jobs To Be Done & Micro-Tasks Framework

Version: 1.0

Effective date: December 1, 2025

Applies to: All associates, contributors, volunteers, and participants

Why This Framework Exists

Career Bridge Foundation is designed to help people grow by working on real problems, not by watching videos or reading theory alone. To make this possible, and to ensure fairness for everyone involved, we use a simple and transparent way to organise work.

This framework explains how work is broken down, how tasks are managed, and how payment or non-payment is decided. There are no hidden rules. Everything is visible before you begin.

Understanding Big Work and Small Work

Jobs To Be Done (JTBDs)

Jobs To Be Done describe the big outcome we are trying to achieve. They explain why work exists and what success looks like at a high level.

For example, a Job To Be Done might be improving onboarding, building a readiness tool, or delivering a client outcome. These are sometimes called Epics because they describe the destination rather than the individual steps.

Micro-Tasks

Micro-tasks are the small, clear pieces of work that move a Job To Be Done forward. Each micro-task has a defined outcome, a deadline, and clear instructions so you know exactly what is expected.

Examples include writing content, designing a screen, building a form, or testing a workflow. When many micro-tasks are completed well, the larger goal is achieved.
